1995
Founded on a commitment to reliability, quality and integrity, conceptcsi steadily built a reputation as one of New York’s leading subcontractors — specializing in drywall, ACT, carpentry and millwork for the city’s Class A buildings.
2005
Building on our growing reputation, we made a defining step up — from specialist subcontractor to full service general contractor and construction manager. That elevation took us into mission-critical construction and established conceptcsi as a premier boutique data center builder. With a global colocation provider as our anchor client, we arrived on the national stage, completing a landmark data center campus in Piscataway, New Jersey and cementing our standing as a trusted specialist in one of construction’s most demanding sectors.
2018
Firmly established as a market leader, we strategically broadened our focus, carrying the discipline of our mission-critical work into corporate interiors, healthcare, critical infrastructure, hospitality, retail and adaptive reuse — and becoming the multi-sector specialist we are today.

On-Site Leadership
Our project team is experienced in managing fast-paced, complex projects — particularly those involving live operating environments. We recognize the unpredictability of active jobsites, and we’re equipped to adapt. Execution Planning
At project kick-off, we collaborate with key stakeholders to develop an Execution Plan. This plan closes information gaps, identifies potential risks and how to mitigate them, then maps out the critical path and project scope. The project team reviews and approves it before implementation begins.
Risk and Cost Management
From the outset, our preconstruction team works with stakeholders to identify budget constraints, then leads a structured value-alignment process that keeps scope and cost in step. Working with operations, consultants and trade partners, the team develops risk-mitigation strategies and establishes a clear, achievable path within an agreed budget.
Schedule Approach
A realistic schedule is one you actually hit. We build ours from the ground up — sequencing trades logically, identifying long-lead items early and setting clear milestones everyone can plan against. Throughout construction, we work to short-interval look-ahead schedules and review progress continuously, so we can resequence and recover time the moment something shifts. The result is delivery you can count on and complete clarity on your timeline.

From detailed site-safety planning and ongoing training to proactive hazard management on every project, we treat safety as the foundation everything else is built on. As CEO, Sean is responsible for the company’s long-term vision, strategic growth, financial strength and client/partner relations. Embodying the essence of entrepreneurship, he came to New York over 30 years ago with little more than a strong work ethic, a lot of integrity and a passion to build something special, long-lasting and a little different.
Sean’s accessibility, hands-on style and eagerness to connect with clients at a deep level to better understand their requirements, challenges, chokepoints and drivers, permeates the company at all levels, establishing an ethos and cultural dedication to client satisfaction that makes conceptcsi a very special construction firm from a client’s perspective, and an enticing place to work from an employee’s point of view.
